Externe SCSI Adapter
Rund um SCSI-I, II und III gibt es eine Vielzahl von unterschiedlichen Steckverbindern, die an SCSI Peripheriegeräten anzutreffen sind. Da zusätzlich die SCSI-I, II und III Geräte nun sehr oft auch noch an demselben Bus betrieben werden sollen, steht der Anwender vor einer fast unlösbaren Aufgabe, z.B. werden sehr viele Peripheriegeräte wie CD-ROM, MO-Bandlaufwerke mit SCSI-II Anschluss geliefert. Das führt automatisch dazu, dass es Konstellationen gibt, in denen beide SCSI-I und II-Geräte, miteinander eingesetzt werden müssen. Da es aber nicht immer die passenden Kabel dafür gibt, kann das Problem oft mit einem entsprechenden Steckadapter gelöst werden.
